Breaded Fish: A Delicious Recipe And Very Easy To Prepare

There are many ways to prepare breaded fish. From the traditional way of making it passed through vegetable oil and then fried, to stewed with vegetables. The truth is that the recipe stands out for being crunchy and very easy to make.

Some use wheat flour with some egg to add that crunchy layer. Others tend to use breadcrumbs to provide the same appearance and is somewhat healthier.

Tuna steak, a breaded fish recipe

Tuna can be a good option to make breaded fish.

This fish is extremely delicious and loaded with numerous benefits for your health. It contains high levels of omega 3 and essential trace elements for the construction of amino acids, as well as antioxidants.

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tuna steaks
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 pinch of sea salt
  • The juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 garlic cloves without skin
  • ⅔ cup of breadcrumbs (100 g)
  • 1 pinch of ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil (15 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons of ground coriander (30 g)

Preparation

  1. The first thing you need is a wooden board large enough to be able to marinate the tuna steaks well.
  2. Place the fillets on the board and start by sprinkling sea salt all over the surface.
  3. Then, in a frying pan with a little vegetable oil and over medium heat, proceed to sauté the garlic cloves and the onion, previously cut into cubes.
  4. Make sure to sauté them well until fragrant and the onion takes on a translucent hue.
  5. Add a little pepper, remove and reserve.
  6. In a bowl, beat the eggs and reserve.
  7. Now it  is the turn to pass the fillets with the beaten egg and bathe them well.
  8. Then do the same but in the breadcrumbs.

  10. Brown them on both sides and when you notice that they are crispy enough (to your liking), turn off the heat and they will be ready to eat.

If for some reason, you still prefer to do it in the most popular way or you simply don’t like using breadcrumbs very much, you can complete the recipe for fish breaded with wheat flour; even with cornmeal. With the latter they will be crispier but the flavor changes a bit.

  • 3 teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce (15 ml)
  • 2 tablespoons of corn vegetable oil (30 ml)

Preparation

  1. Place the steaks in a medium bowl.
  2. Gradually add the Worcestershire sauce, marinade the powder, black pepper and sea salt.
  3. Next, with the help of your hands, take care of soaking the fillets well with the seasonings. Make sure they are well integrated with the fish.
  4. Then, in a skillet over medium heat, add the oil and garlic cloves and let it get hot enough.
  5. Beat the eggs in a separate bowl.
  6. Before putting the fillets through the pan, cover them with enough beaten egg and then roll them on both sides in wheat flour. Abundantly.
  7. Once the flour has set well in the fillets, take them to the pan and let them brown. Approximately 5 minutes per face.
  8. Finally, remove and drain each fillet before serving.
